Entrepreneur trade confidence rises 1% in February, says CNC

RIVER-the entrepreneur confidence index of Commerce (Icec) advanced 1 percent in February compared to January, with seasonal adjustment, reaching 95.5 points, reported on Tuesday, 21, the National Confederation of trade in goods, services and tourism (CNC). In comparison with February 2016, the confidence of traders increased 18.6%.
Despite the high, the indicator is still below the zone of indifference (100 points). In the evaluation of the CNC, it still indicates traders '' attention in relation to labour market conditions and household income constraint ".
In a statement, the Chief Economist of CNC Izis Ferreira emphasized that the advancement of adjustment measures in Congress, slowing inflation and falling interest rates are behind the increased confidence of entrepreneurs in the trade. "Sales of trade in 2017 must experience less intense pace of fall, with relative stability," says the note of CNC.
