EBIT estimates sales of R bi $8.7 on e-commerce for Christmas

E-commerce is expected to earn R$8,7 billion in 2017, nominal growth of 13% compared to the same period of the previous year, the Ebit. The number of applications should grow 11 percent, to 16.6 million to 18.4 million, while the average ticket will rise 2% shy of R $463 R $471.
For this survey the Ebit considers the estimated sales for e-commerce in the period from 15 November to 24 December, including the period from Black Friday. "The Black Friday sales should match the almost 1/4 of the total estimated for Christmas this year. Black Friday has become the retail calendar year after year and, with that, you get more and more relevance within the companies ' strategy for Christmas, "says Pedro Guasti, CEO of Ebit.

The shy average ticket expansion, according to Guasti, is a reflection of the discounts practiced during Black Friday and the fall of prices in the basket of e-commerce products, measured by the FIPE Index rocket. "The prices of e-commerce are registering for 12 consecutive months of deflation. Maintained this trend in December, the index should close 2017 with retraction of 2.5%. For e-commerce, this is very relevant because it shows that high revenue is supported on the volume of requests. The estimated growth for the Christmas period is in line with the foreseen by the Ebit for the second quarter of 2017.
