Food products are the most installments by Brazilians

The percentage of Brazilians who paid some sort of installment in December 2016 reached 41%, according to research consumer economic profile of Fecomercio-RJ/Ipsos. Among this group, 50% chose the credit card as a funding option, followed by 36% and 13% for tickets via bank loan.
The survey also shows that the main reasons for the funding were buying food (29%), clothing (28%), acquisition of appliances (24%) and the renegotiation of debt (16%).
Family budget research has shown that the family budget follows more balanced in the midst of economic. In December 2016, 57% of Brazilians reported that the budget would not have leftovers but was more balanced, against 18% with leftovers and 24% with insufficient resources to cover all expenses of the month.
For the 18% who said to be left in the budget, 43% reported that they would save to spend in the future, 35% said they would spend on food and 19%, with leisure.
Purchase intention research pointed out that 18% of Brazilians interviewed claimed to have the intent to purchase consumer durables between December March 2017. More targeted products are cell phones (22%), flat (13%), stoves (13%) and wardrobes (12%).

The survey was conducted by Fecomercio RJ/Ipsos, from November 30 to December 12 2016 2016, with 1200 respondents in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Brasília, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, Florianopolis, Salvador, Recife and in 64 cities
