Brazil creates line of products for export

Brazil national Foods brings together 11 players in the sector and with the support of Apex Brazil, wants to expand markets
With the support of Apex-Brazil, 11 players in the food sector, including JBS, Seara, Aurora Winery and 1906, will do a world tour between 2013 and 2014 to present to the international market a new proposal for national products.
The project was created and developed by international design agency of foods and beverages Enivrance, and are part of the Brazilian national foods, a line with 13 product concepts for export which proposes the reinvention of national ingredients, with unique design of packaging. The investment in the project was r $ of 5.6 million and the official launch will be on Thursday in Sao Paulo.
Then the project will travel the world in food fairs to present the proposal to foreign buyers from Europe, Asia and the United States, with the goal of generating business and expand exports to the Brazilian food industry, changing the public's perception abroad on national identity, in the quest for a more modern and innovative model.
"The goal of the Brazilian food is seizing the moment to highlight of Brazil abroad and reveal a new identity from the food industry the national external market. "They have in common the fact that they are representative in its segment in terms of innovation, branding and positioning, with a strong willingness to represent this new creative leadership in food", he adds.
Malbois said that, after the kickoff in São Paulo, the Brazilian national team will Feed until 2014, presentations in Paris, London, Cologne, New York, San Francisco, Mexico, Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore and Dubai, and also in the Brazilian cities of Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre.

Diego Bolson Ruzzarin, Director of Enivrance highlights that were developed six ideas for each member company of the selection and one was elected. Founded in 2002, in Paris, Enivrance was born as the first bureau of food and beverage style and today has offices in Paris, Singapore and Sao Paulo.
"We seek to create proposals that show new possibilities of the typical ingredients such as ACAI, cassava, rum and coffee, leaving the concept that the country exports only commodities. The plan is to put the selection products on an industrial scale for sale on the international market from the second half of next year, with distribution in networks of supermarkets, deli, convenience store, adds the Executive of Envirance. The second step, says Ruzzarin, is also selling to the domestic market, in the Brazilian retail.
With the initiative launched, the two executives say, however, that it is too early to project how much will the jump in exports with a differentiated line of products. According to the Brazilian Association of Food industries (Abia), sector industries exported, in 2012, $ 43.4 billion. Already in the first half of 2013, the volume of exports was $ 20.1 billion, against $ 18.8 billion from the same period last year. Investment also jumped from $ 8.2 billion to $ 8.7 billion, in comparison between the semesters. Despite the crisis, the market ends up having better numbers than other sectors of the economy.
