In September, sales of Brazilian machinery and equipment industry amounted to r $ 7,090 billion, a drop of 1.2% over the month of August, according to data from the Brazilian Association of machinery and equipment industry (Abimaq). The apparent consumption of R $ 10,341 billion confirmed the light downward trend recorded over the last few months. In the year (jan-Sep 2013), however, the consumption of R $ 90,909 billion was 7.1% higher than the same period in 2012.
