Sales of medicines grow 11.9 percent in the first semester

SÃO PAULO-sales distributors of medicines grew 11.9% in turnover in the first half of 2016 in comparison with the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Brazilian Association of logistics and Distribution of pharmaceutical products (Abradilan) and IMS Health. In the six months, sales reached 7.72 billion R$.
This distribution represents 16.5% of medicines sold in Brazil.
Distributors differ from data reported by large retail chains pharmacist represented by the Brazilian Association of Pharmacies and Drugstores (Abrafarma), once these grids in General has its own distribution. In the first half was Abrafarma of growth even faster, to 12.66%.
