Sales in supermarkets from São Paulo have a slight high

The actual billing of the supermarkets in the State of Sao (deflated by the IPCA/IBGE) of 0.63% pointed to high light the same stores from January to may of 2016 as compared to the same period in 2015. In May there were 1.59% drop compared to the same month of 2015 and fall of 1.56% compared to April. The data are of Apas (São Paulo supermarket Association).
The concept of all stores surged from 0.31% from January to may compared to the same period in 2015. In May there were 1.35% drop compared to the same month of 2015 and retraction of 1.72% compared to April.
According to Rodrigo Mariano, economy and research manager of the Association, the anticipation for this second half of 2016 is a better performance than 2015, even in the face of an unstable economic scenario for Brazil. "Inflation tends to remain high throughout the year, even showing reduction in about 2015, since it should not reach the double digits. Employment and income will be points of concern, since there are variables that impact directly on the supermarket sector ", she concludes.
