Sales of medicines grow 9.6% in April, says Association

São Paulo-sales of medicines by Brazilian distributors grew 9.6% in April compared with the same month of 2015 2016, according to the Brazilian Association of logistics and Distribution of pharmaceutical products (Abradilan). Revenues in the month reached 1.25 billion R$.
In the first quarter of 2016, the industry achieved a turnover of 5.18 billion R$, up 21.75% compared to the previous year.
In April, 68.64 million units were sold, an increase of 2.8% compared with the same month of 2015.
In four months, the total number of units sold has reached 304.9 million, 16.02% growth.
