Brastemp owner has earnings of $ 238 million in 3Q

São Paulo-Whirlpool, Brastemp and Consul marks in Brazil, announced today that it had net income of $ 238 million in the third quarter of the year, slightly larger than the gain of $ 235 million obtained in the same period in 2015. In the same comparison, earnings per share rose to $ 3.10, to $ 2.95.
With adjustment, the gain for Whirlpool''s action was at $ 3.66, below the projection of FactSet, $ 3.86. Revenue fell to $ 5.25 billion in the last quarter, to $ 5.28 billion a year earlier, falling short of the forecast of the market also, of $ 5.32 billion.
The recipe was hampered by poor performance in Europe, which ended by offsetting good results in North America and Latin America.
For 2016, Whirlpool predicts adjusted earnings per share of $ 14.00 to $ 14.25, less than the consensus of $ 14.61 of FactSet.
