Barry Callebaut will provide chocolate to Indonesia

The franco-Belgian multinational Barry Callebaut, the world's largest chocolate maker, signed a long-term supply agreement of chocolate for the GarudaFood, one of the leading food and beverage companies of Indonesia. The value of the deal was not disclosed. From mid-2016, the company, which is based in Switzerland, will provide 10 million pounds of chocolate a year to the biscuit factory of GarudaFood in the town of Gresik, East Java province. To comply with the delivery of the product, Barry Callebaut will take control of some GarudaFood and factory equipment to establish own operations at a new facility in Indonesia company plant. In this way, the multinational aims to increase its production capacity "significantly" in the next three years.
The agreement also includes exchanges on research and development of new products to the growing participation of GarudaFood in Indonesia.
