Tetra Pak provides Tetra Rex ® Biobased for customers worldwide

Tetra Rex ® produced entirely with renewable raw materials is already available to Tetra Pak's customers around the world. This happens three months after the launch of the Finnish company Valio dairy skim milk the dairy Valio Anand ® throughout Finland. Now the company plans to use the Tetra Rex ® renewable packaging throughout its portfolio of organic milk. In addition, the company also decided to use the covers produced with renewable polyethylene in all packages "gable-top". Tetra Rex ® is produced with renewable polyethylene combination derived from sugarcane and the role FSC ® certified (Forest Stewardship Council ®). In addition, the entire content of this renewable packaging received the certification of Vinçotte, an internationally recognized Evaluation Agency. 100% renewable packaging can be identified by the words "Tetra Rex ® Bio-based" printed at the top. The basic renewable polyethylene used by Tetra Pak is produced by Braskem, from the ethanol from sugarcane as feedstock. The new packaging is available in several sizes from 250 ml up to two liters, for all versions of chilled milk. The novelty will soon be launched by other customers in Europe and is now also under negotiation with dairy products around the world. Return
