BRASKEM FEATURES METALLIZER RESIN OF BURGERS

Braskem developed in its centre of technology and innovation, in Triunfo (RS), new resin for the food market in packaging of frozen items, such as hamburgers. This is HF0131XP polyethylene resin, designed especially for tubular film extrusion process.
Already available in supermarkets throughout Brazil, the packages of hamburger produced with this product rely on differentiated mechanical properties to maximise efficiency in production and offer a good appearance on the shelves of supermarkets, with transparency and most attractive white tone on behalf of special additives, making them more attractive to the final consumer.
Another novelty is that the material does not need to be mixed with other resins or additives, which guarantees use in pure form to achieve the demanding requirements of the market. That way, the film becomes more resilient during the manufacturing process, which increases the efficiency indices to the manufacturer and provides facility for filling to meat-Packers.
Although the durability of the Hamburger is associated mainly to the temperature at which the product is kept, HF0131XP resin is able to produce films with high mechanical strength at low temperatures. This feature reduces the risk of possible losses caused by contamination from rips in the packs.
