Production back up and Anfavea see meta

After losing strength between June and July, the auto industry's production returned to rise and stay above 340 thousand vehicles last month, reflecting the best August ever for exports and the strong activity in factories from trucks.
A total of 340.5 thousand vehicles between cars, SUVs, light trucks and buses-left of the Assembly lines in August, a volume that approached the results of April and may, the two months of stronger production this year, with $ 347.1 348.1 thousand units, respectively.
In comparison with July, there were 9% growth. In relation to the already strong volume in the same period last year, when 332.8 million vehicles were produced, the growth was 2.3%. Contributed decisively to this evolution compared to the previous year the resumption of the trucking industry, whose production went up 50.1% and reached 18.8 million units last month. On the same basis of comparison, the production of light vehicles-passenger cars and small commercial-rose just 0.5 percent.
In the subsidized interest rate fever below inflation in capital goods financing from the Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), in addition to purchases made by the Government, the automakers of trucks are coming out of the hole that went in last year, a period in which industry production fell by about 40% with the introduction of less polluting linesHowever, up to 15% more expensive.
In addition, exports-64.1 thousand vehicles, the best outcome for months of August to offset the drop in domestic consumption last month. Shipments, pulled by demand in markets such as Argentina and Mexico, have risen nearly 50% compared to the previous year and 22.1% compared to July.
The figures were released yesterday by Anfavea, the entity of automakers in Brazil, which also revised their forecasts for this year, improving the numbers for production, but reducing the expectation of sales. After the growth of 13.7% accumulated until August, the Association has increased from 4.5% to 11.9% high estimated production this year, which, if confirmed, will mean a record volume of 3.79 million vehicles.
Beyond recovery in exports-where the Anfavea expects growth of 20%-and a new record in the domestic market, this goal takes into account the replacement of imported cars by nationals. Faced with restrictions imposed by the Government, as the vehicles Mexico quotas and surcharges to cars coming from outside the Mercosur, sales of imported retreat 15.2% this year, while those of the vehicles produced in Brazil rise 2.6%.
In sum of imported and nationals, the new vehicle plates issued in the country have reversed the growth trajectory and arrived at the end of August with a 1.2% drop in cumulative values since January. Announcing the result, the Anfavea reduced to the range of 1% to 2% growth expected in 2013, which, nonetheless, would mean the tenth year in a row of record in this market. The previous forecast was for an increase of 3.5% to 4.5% in sales.
Although analysts work with more conservative figures-pointing, including the possibility of a fall of-licensing, Moan cited the warming trend until December and sales indicators such as the drop in delinquencies, releasing the credit offer, to justify the expectation of new market growth. "Are factors and indicators that lead us to make those projections, which the market think optimistic. But we think it's the market that's pessimistic, "he said.
