Braskem expands portfolio of HDPE resins for shrink films

Braskem expands its portfolio of resins of high density polyethylene (HDPE) with the HD7600 family, specially designed to meet the heat shrinkable films segment (secondary packaging for Unitization of cans and bottles), also known as shrink films.
The key differentiator of the line is the low level of gels, guaranteeing a compact packing, no holes, no marks on the surface and keeping good visualization of the packaged product. The family has two resins: the HD7600U and HD7600M, produced in Rio de Janeiro and Bahia, respectively.
The formulation of the shrink film includes, besides the HDPE, polyethylene and linear low density (LLDPE and LDPE). The combination of the properties inherent to each of the families of resins ensures rigidity, shrinkage and compaction of the unit simultaneously.
"The expansion of the portfolio to shrink movies demonstrates the importance of the segment for Braskem. The HD7600 family is the result of joint work of our engineers with customers, developed for almost a year, which ensured the supply of high performance resins to address comprehensively the market ", says Renato Augusto Yoshino of Lima, leader of the commercial segment of industrial films.
