New middle class boosts convenience stores, says Sindicom

In 2012, the convenience stores at gas stations in the country registered a 14.7% in 2011 as a result of the rise of class C, according to a survey of the National Union of fuel and lubricant distribution companies (Sindicom). Another positive indicator on the growth of convenience stores, according to the consultant, is the increase of 6% in 2012 on average ticket, $ 8,47 compared to r $ 7.99 in 2011.
The consultant explained that the thread has high growth potential: of 40 thousand gas stations in the country, only 20% have convenience stores, while in Chile they are present in 40% of the posts; in Argentina, in 50%; and in the United States, at 80%.
