Cinex will produce laminated glass

An eye on expansion of the construction sector in the country, Cinex, manufacturer of glass doors and partitions and furniture, aluminum puts into operation in August a production unit of laminated glass for application both indoors and in external facades and glass houses and buildings. The glazing, which will be in front of the company's main factory in Bento Gonçalves (Rio Grande do Sul), began to be built in 2011 and is in the final stage of installation and adjustments, said Chief Executive Officer Cesar Cini.
As the entrepreneur, the new plant will supply the rows in the own Cinex, but most of the production will be sold in the market with the brand "Be Vetro". According to him, the unit has the potential to achieve a gross sales of r $ 25 million per year between 2014 and 2015. In 2013, without considering the new operation, Cinex casts a 15% growth in revenue compared to the r $ 69 million last year and 2015 the goal is to reach the consolidated sales of $ 150 million.
The "Be Vetro" will produce hot-rolled special thickness, with blades up to 15 mm for use as stairs, for example, and will also offer large painted glass or with photographs, said Chauhan. According to him, the most products with these features available in the Brazilian market is imported. The laminated glass are safer than the seasoned, why not release shrapnel when they break, and also offer greater thermal and acoustic comfort, added the Manager.
The new unit was equipped with machines imported from Italy and required investments of € 3 million, equivalent to R $ 7.9 million, 60% financed by Banco do Brazil, said Chauhan. The Cinex also plans to complete in the second half of this year the transfer of research lab in Treviso, Italy, from a rented area of 100 square meters for a building of 700 square meters. The expansion investment sum € 1 million.
