Without reforms, sector keeps falling

To representatives of the area, changes in welfare and labour legislation are essential to resumption and can no longer be postponed
Sao Paulo-the construction Representatives were yesterday in Brasilia to meet with President Michel Temer and with the Mayor, Rodrigo Maia. The goal is to reaffirm support for the adoption of reforms of welfare and labour legislation. The sector, which is facing one of its worst crises, says the changes are essential for the Country to grow back.
During the meeting, the delegation, organized by construction Brazilian Chamber of the construction industry (CBIC), pointed out that without changes to the sector''s future remains cloudy.
"We reiterate the importance of the reforms. Our industry is agonizing. We''re going well when the country is going well, "the President of the Union of the construction (SindusCon-SP), José Romeo Ferraz Neto.
According to the representative, the proposals [currently under discussion in Congress] are directly related to the improvement of the country''s economy and the recovery in consumption, and without them, the Executive points out that the industry will not resume anytime soon. "[Without it] perspectives are bad. The number of jobs fell in March for the 30th month in a row and our horizon followed, "says. According to figures released by the entity in March October 2014, so far, have been closed more than 1.1 million jobs across the country.
Even with sectoral applications considered essential by the builders, such as the regulation of cancellations, the Executive exposes that now is not the time to plead the theme. "As that which will not be developed? It is useless to argue rescission right now. Stocks are diminishing as there is no production, "puts the Executive.
"The applications that must be dealt with now are not the developers, but the population. The magnitude of the problem is much bigger, "said the President of the Brazilian Association of real estate Developers (Abrainc), Luiz Antônio France. According to the Executive, now the concern is that the reforms don''t just stand and be approved soon.
According to the Portal of the plateau, the President of the Brazilian Chamber of the construction industry (Cbic), José Carlos Rodrigues Martins, said during the meeting that the industry is committed to help the debate on the parliamentary reforms. "What can''t is that they don''t happen," he says.
According to the Executive, without credibility and predictability in future there is no investment. "You can''t buy a House if you are not sure which will have your job tomorrow. The same thing with the industry, the same thing with the trade. So, the survival of the sector is that we approved these reforms, "he said.

According to one of those present at the meeting, the Vice President of indwelling of SindusCon-SP, Ronaldo Cury, the election was the same and the response was positive.
