The construction confidence index (ICST) of Brazil rose 1.4 point in April and was 76.5 points, best reading since 77.2 points seen in April 2015, according to the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). The breakthrough in the month was determined solely by the current perception of entrepreneurs, as shows the advance of 2.9 points in the Current Situation index (ISA-CST), to 65.7 points, the highest level since December 2015, highlighting the improved perception regarding the contract portfolio. The ISA compensated for the high light fall of the Expectations index (IE-CST) of 0.2 point, reaching 87.6 points. The FGV reported that the National Construction Cost Index (INCC-M) withdrew in April, 0, 8% about 0,36% in March.
