Paulista self-service sales grew 6.6% in 2012

The result, already deflated by the IPCA/IBGE, was found by the IVS/APAS (index of Sales in supermarkets of São Paulo supermarket Association). For 2013, the expectation of APAS is 5% increase in sales in the industry, surpassing the growth of GDP (gross domestic product).
In 2012, in all the shops there were 4.8% increase when compared to 2011. Sales growth in same store concept, is related to increased consumption, factor checked in recent years due to rising incomes and low unemployment, according to John Galassi, President of APAS.
Sales in December
Compared to November, the increase in sales was 23% in the same stores concept. When compared with the same month of 2011, there were high of 4.6%.
In all stores high concept in December 2012 was 6.5% as compared to December 2011. On November 2012, the increase was 23.5%.
