Trade movement backs 0.9% in May

Sales for mother's days did not excice and the trade movement fell in May. The trade movement indicator declined 0.9% in May in relation to the immediately preceding month, already discounted the seasonal effects, according to data obtained by Boa Vista. This is the sixth consecutive month of sales decline. In the accumulated 12 months the indicator rose 1.8%. Anemia. The latest results of the indicator reveal the continuity of the trend of weakening of trade, according to Boa Vista. In the monthly analysis, among the main sectors, the "furniture and appliances" presented a drop of 5% in May. The category of "fabrics, garments and footwear" declined 2.5% in the month.
