GPA finalizes sale of shares in Via Varejo

The GPA concluded, last Friday (14), the sale of its participation in Via Varejo. The auction moved R $2.3 billion, with an average price of R $4.90 for each of the 470 million shares-value above the projection of R $2.23 billion, which considered R $4.75 per share. Entrepreneur Michael Klein acquired 1.6% of the share capital, becoming the largest reference shareholder of Via Varejo. According to the executive, the business strategy will be focused on the relationship with customers and suppliers, aiming to connect to Casas Bahia with the changes of the new generation. According to the company, the liquidation of the sale will happen tomorrow (18).
