PepsiCo joins Danone and Nestlé to manufacture eco-friendly bottles

U.s.-based Pepsico joined at Danone and Nestlé in a European project to develop 100% biodegradable plastic bottles, made entirely from sustainable material Danone and Nestlé Waters had already joined the company last year North American Origin Materials to create plastic bottles (PET) with cellulose fibers, like used cardboard and sawdust. The companies expect to produce 18,000 tons of PET from 2020 in a factory built in Canada for this purpose.
