COST OF PRODUCTION OF THE DAIRY ACTIVITY RETURNED TO RISE IN AUGUST

After two months of falling, the cost of production of the dairy activity soared in August. According to the index Scot Consultoria production cost increase was 3.0% compared to July of this year. Since the beginning of the year, the costs pile up an increase of 8.9%. The high food prices, mostly corn and soybean meal, pulled the indicator up. Fertilizers and animal products were also more expensive. As compared to the same period last year, the costs of the activity are 13.7% higher this year.
