Computer sales increase for the first time in six years

Sales of personal computers increased for the first time in six years, especially by the professional sector, leveraged reported on Thursday (12) the industry research firm Gartner. The Chinese Lenovo and HP American are tied in first place in the market, each with 21.9 percent, followed by Dell (16.8%) and Apple (7.1%). Sales rose by 1.42% in the second quarter, with 62.1 million units, after having declined in recent years due to the orientation of the market for smartphones and tablets. According to Gartner, the growth comes mainly from companies that upgrade their computers the operating system of Windows 10. "PC sales during the second quarter boosted the increase of demand in the professional sector, but was offset by a fall in individual consumption market," indicated Mikako Kitagawa, an analyst at Gartner. "As consumers (...) are still using their smartphones to their everyday contacts as social networks and schedules, the Bank and shopping, which reduces the need to have a computer," he added. According to Gartner, the market will recede in the next two years, with the slowdown of sales related to Windows 10.
