Häagen-Dazs will close all stores in Brazil

General Mills of Brazil announced that it will close all eight stores premium ice cream brand Häagen-Dazs in the country. In a statement, the food group said that the products will continue to be sold and distributed normally in Brazil. The stores are located in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia. According to the note, the company's strategy is valid only for the Brazilian territory and that General Mills will focus its investments in the distribution of ice cream through the retail channels. The group, which also controls the brands Yoki, Kitano, More Natural life and Valley, reaffirmed the importance of the Häagen-Dazs brand in the portfolio of business in the country. "As a part of the Crescent super premium ice cream segment, Häagen-Dazs remains a major global brand for the company and for business in Brazil", he says.
