AmBev has net income of bi R$2,598 in the first quarter, up 13.4%

SAO PAULO-the beverage company Ambev had net profit of 2.598 billion reais in the first quarter, up 13,4% compared to the previous year. Adjusted net income was $2.611 billion reais, up 12,7%. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) climbed 6,5% in the same set comparison to 4.639 billion reais, the company said Wednesday. The adjusted Ebitda margin rose 1.2 percentage point to 39,9%.
