SAMIR SUPERMARKETS INVESTS IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW PLANT IN FRANCE

The Samir Supermarkets announces for the next two years the construction of 10 more stores in seven cities in the State of São Paulo, in addition to reforms for expansion and modernisation of five units. Between the network investments and investors will be R $300 million. With that, in 2020, the company will feature 51 units and more than 10000 employees – today are direct 8,100 jobs considering the 41 stores in operation, four gas stations, two distribution centers and the administrative center of the network. The cities that will receive the new stores are: Araraquara (3rd unit); Ribeirão Preto (13th on the South side of the city unit); France (5th); 2:00 pm Rio Claro (2nd and 3rd units); Limeira (2nd unit); Piracicaba (2nd unit); and 3:00 pm Campinas where the network will debut your performance. Reforms already are happening in 4 shops in Ribeirão Preto (the number 8, 16, 20 and 26) and at the head office, located in Sertãozinho, which will be adapted in the form of a ' supermarket ' for school students served by School Samir, installed next to the shop 1. In 2018, the supermarket network should earn R $3 billion and estimates a 30% growth in turnover in the next two years with the openings announced. "Our goal is that the network is among the 10 largest in Brazil", says the Executive Chairman Chalim Samir. Today, the Samir supermarkets, in terms of revenues, are in first place in the State of São Paulo; 7th in SP State and 11th in the country second ranking Brazilian supermarket Association (ABRAS) released in April this year. In 2017, the network has opened up new units in the cities of Sumaré, Limeira and Piracicaba, Macaws, concentrating investments in the order of R $100 million and generating more than 800 direct jobs.
