BRF Announces resumption of plant in Goiás facing Muslim market

The BRF announced the gradual resumption of your factory in Jataí in Goiás, from January 2018. It is expected to produce up to 40000 tonnes of food a year, facing the Muslim market (halal). The management will be of OneFoods, a subsidiary responsible for the production of foods that meet the precepts of Islam.
The decision to retormar the activities takes place at a time of grain prices at levels more balanced and a perspective of growth in demand for halal food in the international market, as the Chief Operating Officer of OneFoods, Marcelo Schmeider.
In a statement, he says that the intention is to increase the frequency of production of farms that currently provide raw material to other company units in Goiás, between them, Rio Verde.
Also according to the BRF, the prediction is that until March 2018 Jataí unit employed more than 500 direct employees, in two shifts. "The signings will be gradual and determined as the unit production," according to the statement.
The production of OneFoods will also be high in coming months in three units: Carambeí (PR), Delhi (MT) and Garibaldi (RS). "It will be an important additional volume for the company, which will populate the idle capacity of these three units," Schmeider says.
