Price of live pig goes up 10%

After consecutive falls in the pigmeat market, the price of live animal have risen strongly, as announced yesterday, the Center for advanced studies in applied economics (Cepea).
According to a survey of researchers at Cepea, the SP-5 region (Bragança Paulista, Campinas, Piracicaba, São Paulo and Sorocaba), an increase of 10.4% between 12 and 19 July, with the price paid to the producer to the average of $3.85/kg of live pig.
