New power in South America

When it comes to beef, the Paraguay is the country that stands out in the last decade. Overcoming reference sites, such as Argentina and Uruguay, the country became the sixth-largest cattle exporter, behind Brazil, first of the classification.
Despite a crisis, caused by an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in 2008, that generated an uncertainty for producers and weakened the international trade agreements, the sector back to active duty. Investing in genetic improvement of breeds more adaptable, the Paraguay becomes an attractive option for other countries that need to restore or improve their cattle herds, as in the case of Ecuador.
Just to give you an idea of the dimension of this scenario, were transported about 2,000 head of cattle, eight planes, from Paraguay to the Ecuador, an airlift with porte never seen, with volume of 50 bulls and cows 1,906. Were, in all, 680 tons of the best animals of the four most prestigious breeds of Paraguay as braford, brangus and brahman, nelore, helping to renew the bovine genetics of Ecuador.
