The Executive says believe 2017 will be better than last year. "After two years of recession in Brazil, high inflation and impact on growth, we are seeing stabilization in the economy and some improvement in consumer confidence, inflation and currency stabilization," says Freixe.
He acknowledges that there is still uncertainty in the policy, but States that the brazilian operation did not lose importance in relation to other markets in the region. "I''m not a political analyst, but I see the situation more stable, with confidence returning. Of course there is still a hazy scenario, as well as in the economy and in global policy, but we are reasonably optimistic, cautiously, in relation to the Brazilian scenario. "
Despite the slowdown of the real, the brazilian crisis says Freixe didn''t get the importance of the country compared to other markets where Nestle operate. "It is true that the devaluation of the Brazilian real brings an impact, but most of the currencies in Latin America also has fallen. The weight of Brazil in the region remained and he remains as the largest. The Brazil is our fourth largest market in the world, second only to United States, China and France, despite the devaluation of the real, "says Freixe
