Monthly food basket in Sao Paulo''s second fall then points Procon-SP

Procon-Foundation Research SP, an agency in the Department of Justice and defence of citizenship of the State of São Paulo, found that, in August, the value of the basket in Sao Paulo had 1.07% drop. The survey, done in conjunction with the Inter-Union Department of statistics and socioeconomic studies (Dieese), reveals that the average price that, in 7/29/16, was R$ 702.49 passed to R$ 695.00 in 8/31/16.
Per group, were found the following variations: food, -1.39%; cleaning, -0.39%; and personal hygiene, 2.19%. The variation in the year is of 7.56% (base 12/30/2015).
During the period from 1 to 8/31/16, the products more soared were: wheat flour (kg) 6.69%; SOAP (90 g) 6.60%; Stuffed biscuits (130/150 g package) 5.26%; Cookie cornstarch (Pack 200 g) 4.86%; Full milk powder (400 g)
4.30%.
The largest falls were: potatoes (kg) -16.53%; Onion (kg) -12.13%; UHT milk (litre) -11.92%; Carioquinha bean (kg) -9.94%; Garlic (kg) -4.38%.
Of the 39 products surveyed in monthly variation, 22 showed high, 13 declined and four remained stable.
