Total export of beef grows 25% in February

Sao Paulo-brazilian exports of bovine meat in natura and processed has grown 25% in February compared with the same month of 2015, to 123,129 tonnes.
In February 2015 were 98,149 tons. Foreign exchange revenue was $ 477.2 million, 11 percent on the same comparison.
The data are from the Ministry of development, industry and foreign trade (MDIC), compiled by the Brazilian Association of Refrigerators (Abrafrigo).
In the first quarter of the year, exports totaled 220,472 tons and revenues $ 844.4 million, with growth of 13% in quantity and 1% drop in obtaining foreign exchange.
"Without a doubt, is a resumption of movement over 100 1000 tons monthly we recorded in 2014 and which could grow even more with imports of new markets such as the United States and others who have come back to purchase the brazilian meat such as Saudi Arabia," said in a statement the Executive Chairman of Abrafrigo, Pericles Salazar.
Among the 20 biggest clients of brazilian beef presented significant growth in imports in the quarter to Russia (13.2% with 24 1000 tons), Chile (56.1% with 11,753 tons), Iran (80.8% and 11,898 tons), Germany (42.9% and 1,663 tons), 17% United Kingdom and 4,807 tons) and Philippines 14.4% and 2,717 tons).
