Wholesale sector keeps generating formal jobs

The wholesale trade of the State of São Paulo demonstrates reaction to the crisis and its labour market for the second consecutive month presented positive balance of jobs. In August, the industry opened 1,126 jobs, a result of 14,675 admissions and 13,549 disconnections. Positive balances of July and August interrupted a long period of 10 months of negative balance in the labour market of wholesale. With that, the sector ended the month with a total stock of 494,118 formal workers, 3.0% reduction in comparison with the same month last year. Accumulated balance from January to August, however, are the less formal jobs and 5,298 in twelve months the loss reaches 15,151 vacancies.

According to the economic assistance of FecomercioSP, it is important to note that the traditional balance of formal jobs in the wholesale trade of the State of São Paulo in August is positive due to the data-base of most CCTs (Collective) be on 1 September.
