Sugar consumption is equal to the production

For the first time in six years, world sugar production will not exceed the consumption. In fall for three years, world supply will match demand, which will reach a record $ 173.4 million tonnes in 2015/16. Is that show data from the Usda (u.s. Department of agriculture), released last Friday (22/05).
In the evaluation of the Agency, global production fell even with a slight recovery of Brazil, current world leader, whose harvest will reach 36 million tons. In addition, Thailand, the world's fourth-largest producer, will have a record 11.4 million tons. With the downturn in production, the world stock of sugar drops to 40.5 million tonnes, i.e. 4 million less than the 2014/15.
