Inflation is projected at 8.20% market and fall of GDP in 1.01% in 2015

Forecasts for inflation and for the retraction of the economy were once again high by market analysts consulted by the Central Bank to Focus Market report, released on Monday (6/4).
For inflation, the median expectations was elevated to 8.20 percent compared with 8.12 percent registered last week. In relation to the collapse of economic activity, experts are also more pessimistic than in the previous query: the projection of a fall of GDP (gross domestic product) in 2015 has become of 1.01% compared to 1% expected for the scorecard last week.
This is the 14th consecutive week in which the projections for inflation are high. A month ago, the forecast for the high prices of 2015 was 7.77%. The Central Bank itself expects inflation of 7.9 percent this year. By the end of 2016, the median of projections for the IPCA was maintained at 5.60%. Four weeks ago I was at 5.51 percent.
The expectation for GDP growth also suffered the 14th review down. Four weeks ago, reading showed an estimated fall of 0.66%, on average. For 2016, the projections follow a little more optimistic, and even improved since last week. The high forecast of 1.05% was replaced by 1.10%.
