PHILIPS ANNOUNCES GROUP DIVISION

The Dutch company announced on Tuesday, 23, splitting the group into two separate companies--one with lighting and other activities with those of health and lifestyles, which will share the name of the company. "I recognize the importance of the decision to adopt, but now is the time to start the next strategic step for Philips", announced the company's Chief Executive Frans van Houten said in a statement.
