White line has worse performance of the last 10 years

Affected by the slower pace of economic growth and the negative impact of the World Cup that drained the Brazilian's income for the purchase of TVs, manufacturers of stoves, refrigerators, and washing machines closed the first half with the worst sales performance in the last ten years. From January to June, the number of appliances marketed for trade industry fell 12% in comparison with the same period in 2013.
The result of the semester was influenced especially by the strong decline in the second quarter. Survey of power lines, an association that gathers the sector industry, shows that, between April and June, industrial sales of white line fell 20 percent compared to the previous year.
The slump in the industry prevails, despite Government help to boost sales. The appliances remain with tax on industrialized products (IPI) reduced the benefit of crisis which began in 2009.
