RETAIL EXPECTS to GROW 8.2 percent in MAY

IAV-IDV (Antecedent Index of sales), study conducted monthly by the associates of the IDV (Institute for development of retail), points a real growth in sales of 8.2% in may, compared with the same period last year. In June, the expected increase is 5.9%, on the same comparison. In March, the indicator registered growth of only 1.3%. Towards expectations of sales for April, the associated high point 7.2% over the same month of 2013, influenced by Easter. The expectation of growth in the non-durable retail for this and the next two months is 5.4% in April, 6.4 percent in May and 4.9 percent in June.
