At cheap alcohol

Hydrated ethanol prices retreated in São Paulo last week, which made biofuel a bit more economically advantageous that the petrol to the consumer.
As the national oil Agency (ANP), the litre retreated 1.76% in the period between May 26 and June 1, to R $ 1,837 per liter on average. With this, the biofuel price went on to equate the 67% of the price of gasoline, down from 68 percent the previous week. In the four weeks ended on June 1, the liter of ethanol consumers retreated 5.35% in the State, according to ANP. At the plant, the fall was 4.7% in the four weeks ended on May 31.
In other States where ethanol was already economically more advantageous than gasoline, also there was the fall of the price of biofuel. In Mato Grosso, the ethanol retreated 0.89% in the posts, to R $ 1,887 per liter, which kept the equivalence with gasoline in 64%. In the State of Goiás, the low was 0.51%, to R $ 1,953, which led the relationship with gasoline to 67%. In the State of Paraná, this ratio is at 69%, on the fall of 1.5% in the price of ethanol in the last week.
In São Paulo State plants, ethanol prices have stopped falling due to the rains of the past few weeks, which again disrupt the cane milling in the Center-South region of the country. The Cepea/Esalq to rose 0.42% per liter in the range of 27 to May 31, to $ 1,0922. In may, however, the fall of the indicator comes to 2.95%.
