Vonpar starts operation of new plant in may

The Vonpar food will put into operation in may, two of the six new production lines Neugebauer chocolate factory being built at Arroio do Meio (RS). The other will be linked gradually until September, when the total capacity of the unit will be between 2 000 and 3 000 tons per month of different types of products (bars, confections and candies), triple the current plant located in Porto Alegre and will be off until the end of the year.
According to the Vice-President of the Vonpar foods, Claudius sources, with the new plant the company wants to transform the Neugebauer in national brand. Currently the product sales are concentrated in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina and expansion to other States will be supported also by the location of distribution centers in São Paulo and Recife starting in April.
The Arroio do Meio (RS) being deployed near the factory of candies, lollipops and chewing gum in the same city. The investment sum R $ 160 million, banked with own resources ($ 30 million) and financing from BNDES r $ 30 million and $ 100 million from IFC, linked to the World Bank. The Vonpar also has a factory in Viamão (RS), where milk is produced of trademark Mu-Mu. It is expected raise in 20% of the company until 2015-in 2012, was r $ 350 million.
