PlayStation 4 has one million units sold in 12:0 am

TOKYO-Japanese technology giant Sony announced this Monday, 18, who sold more than one million units of the PlayStation 4 (PS4) in the United States and in Canada on the first day of sales, on Friday.
"We're thrilled with the stupendous receptivity that the console had with the public," said the Chief Executive of Sony Computer Entertainment, Andrew House, in a statement in which he revealed the sales data of the new video game company.
While the previous game, the PlayStation 3, it took six months to reach the first million units sold in the United States and Canada, the PS4 reached in just 12:0 am.
Protest. In Canada, an unidentified man destroyed a console in the PlayStation 4 to leave the store after buying it. He tossed the box on the floor in front of dozens of other consumers who waited in line to enter the store, and then kicked and stepped on the equipment several times.
Enthusiasm. "We expect with enthusiasm the PS4 's launch in Europe and in Latin America, from the day on November 29 this month," added House.
The PS4 is the new Sony's stake in seven years and will enter into direct competition with the Xbox One from Microsoft, which will be available in 13 countries from day 22 this month.
One of the main differences with the PS3 is that Sony has set a monthly subscription for players entering the online multiplayer mode in some of the games for the new console.
The Japanese company established a rate of 6.99 euros in Europe (the equivalent to r $ 21.00) and $ 9.99 ($ 22.7) in the United States for each user to enjoy the video games that can be played online with other players on the internet.
The price of the console is $ 399 in the United States, the equivalent to r $ 909, and 399 euros in Europe, the equivalent of $ 1,200.
The value is almost 25% cheaper than the initial price of the PS3 console that had about 80 million units sold in seven years. In Brazil, the official value will be $ 4,000.
With the PS4, Sony expects to sell up to 5 million units worldwide by March 2014.
