Smart TV will help you monitor the whole House

The integration between the appliances is already a reality. Soon consumers will be able to start, check out what they have in the fridge or have the home ground sucked, even if they are somewhere else.
In addition, you can control the clothes washer or oven without leaving the sofa, using its Smart TV and the remote control.
For the manufacturer LG, which has a convergence of their bets for the next few months, it is possible that the consumer manage your clothes washer, refrigerator, oven or intelligent vacuum cleaner, using an application of the manufacturer called the SmartControl.
The application also allows the user to operate their appliances via voice commands using a smartphone.
Milton Neto, General Manager of Smart TVs, asserts that the equipment that may be connected to TVs, making reality the above examples, should hit the market in the coming months.
Some of these products were presented this month at CES, electronics international fair held in Las Vegas, in the United States. "Today the phones, tablets, and smartphones may already be interlinked. The natural evolution is to integrate the whole House, "he says.
For him, the Brazilians are now getting acquainted with the concept of Smart TV and beginning to notice other features in addition to Smart TV content consumption, such as videos. "People are realizing they can do other uses of fabric," she says.
Currently, 70% of the portfolio of LG in Brazil is made up of connected and 3D models. Nair points out that the difference in price between a conventional TV and the connected model has been dropping. When the devices with internet access have been released, came to be about $ 500 more expensive than others, and today the difference is between $ 100 and $ 150.
A survey by consultancy GfK shows that the amount of TVs that have the so called "smart connection" only is increasing. At the end of 2012 were 188 models of TVs with this trait, against 79 in 2011, an increase of 138%.
With this, the connected TVs accounted for 43% of the market for devices that have internet connection, which also includes computers, smartphones, tablets, and videogames.
Convergence
To foster the development of applications of TVs, LG af wants to avoid creating proprietary standards and convergence has sought partnerships with companies to reduce the technological frontiers in the interconnection of different equipment.
The goal is to ensure that developers can create applications that will run successfully on any Smart TV platform, thus benefiting consumers and industry. For it was created the Smart TV Alliance, in partnership with Toshiba and TP Vision and, later, as IBM, Qualcomm, Panasonic and others.
Currently, more than 650 applications are available on connected TVs from LG, being more than 100 in Portuguese. "In 2013 will see the growth in the total number of applications, especially those in Portuguese", says Nair.
