Lenovo may buy BlackBerry maker

Lenovo has intensified the process of acquisitions and strategic partnerships around the world, including a deal with Research in Motion (RIM), maker of the BlackBerry smart phone. The Chinese company's plan is to increase your firepower in the segment of mobile devices. In September, the company bought the Brazilian CCE for $ 300 million. Currently, Lenovo is the second-largest personal computer maker in the world, behind only American's HP.
"We are looking at several opportunities, including RIM and many others," said the Chairman of Lenovo, Wong Wai Ming, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. "We will not have any hesitation if you get the right business opportunity".
RIM began to review its strategic options last year after losing the market for more advanced smartphones such as Apple's iPhone, and the extended family, the Samsung Galaxy. The moves increased speculation in the market that the KIDNEY could become an acquisition target. Remember that Lenovo purchased the IBM personal computer production in 2005, which gave the basis for its worldwide growth.
"In the long run there will be a drop in sales of PCs," says Jean-Louis Lafayeedney, an analyst at JI Asia in Hong Kong. Even so, Lenovo can take the success of computers for mobile devices ".
