Optical sector Registers decrease of 1%

The optical sector recorded a 1% drop in revenue in the first half of 2018-in the last 12 months. The survey was conducted by the Brazilian Association of Optical Industry (Abióptica). The organisation predicted a growth of at least 5% for the period. The high-dollar, according to the industry representative, impacted directly in sales, that's because about 90% of the optical market is supplied with imports. For the second half, the expected is that the sector reach a maximum 2% rate. The Abióptica still bet on dates important to retailers as Black Friday and Christmas, to reverse the picture.
