Electrical and electronics industry production grew by 13.6% in February

São Paulo – the product industry and electrical and electronic equipment produced in February 13.6% more than in the same month last year, according to data from the Brazilian Institute of geography and statistics (IBGE) compiled by the Brazilian Association of the industry Electrical and electronics (Abinee).
The result is composed of an increase of 29.2% in the electronics industry and an increase of 0.6%. The high of February points to the tenth in a row of production compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the opinion of the President of Abinee, Humberto Barbato, this is an indication of the recovery trend in the industry.
"We have observed good results the level of employment and production in the sector, indicating a resumption of industrial activity, although we still have a long way to be traversed," he says.
Specifically in the electronic area, with the exception of measuring instruments, with drop of 9.4%, the remaining threads pointed high in February. Also noted the production of computer equipment and peripherals, with a high of 56 percent, and audio and video equipment, of 41%.
With respect to the immediately preceding month, with seasonal adjustment, the electronics sector production was 2.4 percent expansion, with similar behaviors of both the electric area, 2.6% as of electronics, elevation of 2.1%.
