Brazil raises minimum price of Arabica coffee; reduces the wheat

SAO PAULO (Reuters)-the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil raised the minimum price of Arabica coffee in 2,46% to yield 2018/19 in comparison with the previous season, according to publication in the Official Gazette on Wednesday.
The minimum price the Government usually serves as a reference to grant programs to farmers.
"These guaranteed prices aim to sustain the revenue producer. So, were calculated on the basis of the variable costs of production in order to support the costs of the producer in their activities, "said the Director coffee substitute and agroenergy Secretary of Agricultural Policy, Sílvio Farnese, in a note.
The minimum price for a bag of 60 kg of coffee Arabica, type 6, went from real to real 341.21 333.03.
Already the minimum price of coffee conilon, type 7, was reduced by 9,57%, for real 202.19 sack.
These prices will be April 2018 term until March 2019.
The Government also announced that 40.8 kg box of Orange had the lowest price high for all Brazil in 7,49%, 13.20 reals. The period runs from July to June 2018 2019.
The minimum price of wheat grain, to the South, like bread, went from 37.26 to 36.17 Reals to serve. The values will take effect from July this year to June 2019, according to the Ministry.
