Cassava: Rains hinder harvesting; root supply falls

Frequent rains of 8 to 11 October in practically all regions of South Central accompanied by the endangered cassava crop Cepea. In addition, the holidays of October 11 (establishment of the State) in Mato Grosso and day 12 (day of our Lady Aparecida) reduced working days of work, pushing the supply of roots to the industries. In this scenario, part of industrial consultation by the Cepea interrupted the activities, giving priority to the maintenance of the plants. From 8 to 11 October, the average nominal value over time for the ton of cassava starch was set to R $459.08 (R $0.7984 per gram of starch in table 20 income), slight drop of 0.5% compared to the previous average.
