AmBev is the most awarded brewery

Ambev was the most awarded brewery in the world at the World Beer Awards (WBA), the main segment Awards, held on Thursday, 10, in London. It was the first time that the company won the title. The company took 25 trophies, five more than last year.
The labels were medalists of Bohemia, the Wäls and the Colorado. The last two are part of the craft beer segment, in which the brazilian multinational went on to invest in 2015, with the purchase of the marks.
The Wälls, for example, were awarded the Tripel-Belgium tripel voted best in the world – and the IPA Hopcorn, a beer with 15% of corn in your recipe and who took the silver medal in the category India pale ale (IPA).
Of Colorado, Murica newly won gold medal and was voted the best cream ale. Another gold led to Eugenia, a session IPA (IPA lighter).
The English award elected the 200 best beers in the world, between 1500 entered coming about 35 countries.
Ambev has suffered in Brazil with the economic recession, which has affected mainly the commercialization of the most popular beers, as Skol and Brahma. In the second quarter, the multinational 1.3% fall recorded in the volume of beer sold, in comparison with the same period last year. The company does not disclose segment data of craft beers. In "premuim", which is part Stella Artois, for example, there was, however, an improvement between 17% and 19%.
