Trade sales have high of 0.4 percent in October, says Boa Vista

São Paulo – retail sales in the country were discharged from 0.4% in October compared with September, with seasonal adjustment.
The result represents a slowdown relative to the ninth month of the year, when rose 1.5%. According to the Boa Vista SCPC, in comparison with October 2016, without adjustment, there was growth of 5.6%.
However, in the 12-month cumulative ending in October the index fell 1.0 percent, as the trade movement Indicator.
Before the scenario that includes basic interest fall, credit expansion and improvement of income and unemployment, the Boa Vista expects the trend to continue in the coming months resume.
Two sectors registered high in October compared with September. The category of supermarkets, food and beverages went up 0.4 percent on the month in the series purged of seasonal factors. Without adjustment, the accumulated variation grew 1.2 percent.
The fuels and lubricants also introduced monthly advance of 1.2 percent, while the accumulated rate in 12 months yielded 3.2%.
Already the furniture and appliances sector showed decline of 3.1% in October compared to September, accumulating negative variation of 1.5% in 12 months.
The segment of textiles, clothing and footwear registered a monthly 0.3 percent downturn in sales. Compared to 12 months ago, there was built-up retreat of 3.2%.
